Current Projects:

JCS has been assigned the task of Maintenance Deactivation Contractor for Zone 7 to assist in the hurricane recovery efforts to our clients through the maintenance and deactivation of mobile homes and trailers within the disaster ravaged communities. 

Recent Projects Completed:

· A site clearing and preparation project for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Erath, Louisiana to include access roads and parking areas for the Dozier Elementary temporary classrooms for the Vermilion Parish School Board.

· A contract with the Defense Logistics Agency/CH2M Hill to rehabilitate an 8,000 square foot building – Bay 5, Building 101- and build out new offices to include, framing, drywall, doors, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm system, sprinkler system and finishes at the U.S. Cast Guard Station in Mobile, AL, after doing extensive interior demolition to this warehouse structure.  This will be our largest job for $1.6 million.

· After the onslaught of Hurricane Katrina to the Gulf Coast area, JCS was called by the U.S. Coast Guard to do site clearing and cleanup in Mobile, AL.  JCS quickly mobilized with crews and heavy equipment such as backhoes, excavators, boom lifts, skid loaders, dump trucks, saws and generators to start clearing approximately 60 acres of land and water.  After clearing the base, JCS was issued another contract for the demolition of various hurricane damaged buildings.  The buildings varied from wood structures to metal structures, including the termination of utilities and the remediation of asbestos and other hazardous materials. 

General/Subcontract Work Performed On Past Projects:

· Renovation of the Marine Safety Detachment Building for the U.S. Coast Guard Station in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.  This was a 4,200 square foot building that was totally demolished inside with an 800 square foot addition which included concrete slab, CMU block exterior, metal stud walls, commercial HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical along with all other phases of new construction.

· Combined Projects at the U.S. Coast Guard Station in Freeport, TX, and South Padre Island, TX – these projects were performed simultaneously which included offices, boat shop and 3,000 feet of fencing, new gates and window replacement.  Other aspects of this job included concrete slab, helical pilings, drywall, stucco exterior, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing, along with the renovation of these facilities.

· JCS was involved in the alteration and renovation of the Maison Blanche Building into the Ritz Carlton Hotel in New Orleans (prime subcontractor for $200 million project for Metric Constructors, Inc. out of Atlanta, Georgia).  Our contracts varied from the installation of all exterior windows to rough carpentry, installation of all hardware and many other functions.
